ITINERARY OF TRIKORA
5-13 SEPTEMBER 2016
8 DAYS / 7 NIGHTS
SEPTEMBER:
Arriving in Wamena - Check in at a hotel - Day tour and exploring the town.

By 4 WD vehicle to Habema Lake, the starting point of trek (2 hrs - 3.400 m ASL) - Trekking day to Wamena Limo camp through savannah and swampy terrain (4 hrs). O/N: Camp Wamena Limo (3.460 m ASL)
7.
Moving to camp 2 passing through steep hill and crossing a great savannah all the way to the “gate” of Trikora range (7 hrs) - Arriving at the camp site by afternoon.
O/N: Camp 2 (3.600 m ASL)
8.
Leaving camp 2 towards camp 3 by spectacular scenery with various terrains. From the area you’re already able to see the summit of Trikora from a distance (6 hrs).
O/N: Camp 3 (3.900 m ASL)
9.
Leaving the porters at camp 3 while participants moving to last summit camp by a steep grassy cliffs all the way to elevation of 4.250 m ASL (4 hrs). On this part, we move with all gears needed for 1 night camp and without any porters going with us, food supply and day clothes is all we need.

10.
Summit day. We face the wall ridge in the morning, semi-technical climb required - Walking along the ridge on elevation 0f 4.500 m ASL towards the summit. Reaching the summit by midday and descending back to our camp - Pack up the gears and moving back to camp 3 where all the porters staying. Total trek on this day is approximately 11 hours.

Moving down on to Camp 1 Wamena Limo through the same way we ascend - Arriving at Wamena Limo camp in the afternoon (8 hrs).

12.
Leaving the camp back to Habema Lake where our cars pick us up - Drive to Wamena (2 hrs) - Check in at hotel - Resting in the afternoon.

13.
Fly Wamena to Jayapura by the first flight and catch a connecting flight to Jakarta by midday.
Tour cost and conditions:
The price is IDR 11.750.000,- / person included all porters during the trek, all meals, twin shared hotels, guide, inland transports, permits and entrance fees.
The price is excluded all airline fares and any personal expenses.
What to bring:
As the temperature may drop to sometimes below zero, we recommend each participant to bring -8 degree sleeping bag. Harness and carrabiner might be necessary to take along on summit day, and water proof hiking boots is the most recommended. Tent is suggested to be taken by yourself although we also might provide it on the trip.
